o In today's world, the importance of statistics is increasing in the formulation of public and private plans and in the adoption, implementation and evaluation of development projects. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were finalized in 2000 based on various indicators. Following this, the importance of statistics in evaluating the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has greatly increased. To this end, a ‘New Data Revolution’ has been called for and emphasis has been placed on enhancing cooperation for the development of the overall statistics system. BBS is currently working on the implementation of this plan. Also to compile statistics consistent with all national, regional and international road maps including Perspective Plan 2010-2021, 7th Five Year Plan 2017-2020, Vision 2021. The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics is committed to provide data collection and statistical support as per the plan adopted from the field level offices such as Divisional Statistics Office, District Statistics Office, Upazila Statistics Office  of Headquarters.
